Galvanized Square Pipes
High-strength connecting and supporting components to ensure the stability of building structures
Product Overview
Galvanized square pipes are metal pipes made by covering the surface of ordinary carbon steel pipes with a zinc layer through a specific process. Their core function is to enhance the corrosion resistance of the steel pipes, extend their service life, while retaining the mechanical strength of the steel pipes themselves.
Key Features
- Superior Corrosion Resistance: The zinc coating functions through a dual mechanism of "physical barrier + electrochemical protection", effectively preventing the intrusion of air and moisture.
- Optimized Mechanical Properties: The hot-dip galvanization process simultaneously improves the internal stress state of the steel, enhancing the ductility and wear resistance of the pipes. They can withstand cold stamping, rolling, bending and other processing without damaging the coating.
- Flexible Scene Adaptability: Can be processed into straight pipes or special-shaped parts with different diameters and wall thicknesses according to engineering needs, and the zinc coating thickness can be customized.
- Whole-Life Cycle Economy: Although the initial investment is higher than that of ordinary steel pipes, the maintenance cycle is long (usually 20-50 years), which significantly reduces the later replacement cost. At the same time, both zinc and steel are 100% recyclable materials, with recycling rates of over 80% and 98% respectively, meeting the sustainable development requirements of green buildings.
Application Fields
Construction and Structural Engineering: Used as purlins and tie bars in the steel structure support systems of industrial workshops and warehouses; Provide anti-corrosion and load-bearing functions in outdoor facilities such as bridge auxiliary structures and municipal guardrails.
Fluid Conveyance Systems: Fire water supply pipelines (e.g., in airports, subways, high-rise buildings) use special pipes with a zinc coating of more than 300g/m²; Urban gas pipelines use high-zinc-coating products of 500g/m².
Municipal and Agricultural Engineering: Used as underground drainage pipes and rainwater collection systems to resist soil corrosion; Used as main water conveyance pipes in agricultural irrigation to adapt to humid outdoor environments.
Industrial Facility Construction: In corrosive environments such as chemical workshops and sewage treatment plants, used as process pipes or equipment supports; In power engineering, used as cable protection pipes, providing both corrosion protection and mechanical protection.
